Structure:

• Tapered roller bearings usually consist of an inner ring, an outer ring, tapered rollers and a cage. There are raceways on the inner and outer rings, and the tapered rollers are placed between the raceways. The cage is used to separate the rollers, distribute them evenly and guide the movement of the rollers. This structure enables the bearing to withstand radial and axial loads, and the rollers and raceways are in line contact, with a high load capacity.

Application:

• Mainly used in the automotive field, especially in the wheel hubs of trucks, Nissan and other models. It is used to support the rotation of the wheel, withstand the vertical load, driving force, braking force and lateral force during vehicle driving, and ensure the stable rotation of the wheel and the safe driving of the vehicle.

Maintenance

• Lubrication management:

  The lubrication method is determined according to the speed coefficient dn value. When the dn value is <300,000, grease lubrication is applicable, and     when it is >300,000, oil lubrication is required. Grease containing MoS₂ or extreme pressure additives (EP) should be used for heavy load conditions. At   the same time, the lubrication cycle and grease injection amount should be controlled, and the viscosity, moisture content and particle contamination of   the lubricating oil should be monitored regularly.

• Standard installation and precise adjustment: The bearings should be kept in the original packaging before installation, and can be unpacked 1 hour before installation. The mating surface should be cleaned and inspected with gasoline. When using oil bath heating for installation, the heating temperature should be controlled at 80℃-100℃, and the heating time should be calculated based on the bearing mass of 1.5 minutes/kg. The clearance should be adjusted during installation, usually 0.05mm-0.10mm. Back-to-back arrangement is recommended for pair installation.
• Operation monitoring and status diagnosis: The operating status of the bearing is monitored by means of vibration analysis, temperature monitoring and oil wear particle analysis. Focus on the acceleration envelope value in the high-frequency band. The normal operating temperature should be lower than 90℃, and the temperature rise should not exceed the ambient temperature + 40℃. Regular sampling should be performed for iron spectrum analysis to monitor the wear particle situation.
